3 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce, divided
1 tablespoon sherry
1/4 teaspoon minced fresh gingerroot or dash ground ginger
1/2 pound beef flank steak, cut into thin strips
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1/2 cup beef broth
1-1/2 teaspoons hoisin sauce
1/8 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons canola oil, divided
2 pounds fresh asparagus, cut into 1-inch lengths
1 garlic clove, minced
3 cups hot cooked rice

Steps:

  • In a large resealable plastic bag, combine 2 tablespoons soy sauce, sherry and ginger; add beef. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate 30 minutes., In a small bowl, combine cornstarch, broth, hoisin sauce, sugar and remaining soy sauce until smooth; set aside., In a large skillet or wok, stir-fry beef in 1 tablespoon oil until no longer pink. Remove and set aside. Stir-fry asparagus in remaining oil until crisp-tender. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer., Stir cornstarch mixture and add to the pan. Bring to a boil; cook and stir 2 minutes or until thickened. Return beef to the pan; heat through. Serve with rice.

6 tablespoons apple juice
6 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon ground ginger
1 pound pork tenderloin, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons canola oil, divided
1 pound fresh asparagus, cut into 1-inch pieces
1-1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
Hot cooked rice, optional

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine the first four ingredients; set aside 1/3 cup. Pour remaining marinade into a large resealable plastic bag; add pork. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for 1 hour. Cover and refrigerate reserved marinade. , Drain and discard marinade. In a large skillet or wok, stir-fry half of the pork in 1 tablespoon oil for 2-3 minutes or until tender. Remove pork with a slotted spoon; set aside. Repeat with remaining pork and oil. , In the same skillet, stir-fry the asparagus for 2-3 minutes or until crisp-tender. Combine cornstarch and reserved marinade until smooth; stir into skillet. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Return pork to skillet and heat through. 1 lb asparagus, trimmed
1 Tbsp sesame seeds
2 Tbsp rice vinegar, unseasoned
2 tsp dijon mustard
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
1 tsp orange rind, finely grated
1 garlic clove, pressed
2/3 c vegetable oil (or oil of your liking - feel free to adjust amount to your liking as well)
1 Tbsp sesame oil

Steps:

  • 1. Cook asparagus in a large pot of boiling salted water until crisp-tender, about 4 minutes. Drain. Transfer to bowl of ice water and cool. Drain and pat dry.
  • 2. Stir sesame seeds in a heavy small skillet over low heat until light brown, about 3 minutes; transfer to a small bowl.
  • 3. Whisk vinegar, mustard, soy sauce, ginger, orange peel and garlic in another small bowl. Gradually whisk in both oils. Season vinaigrette to taste with salt and pepper.
  • 4. Arrange asparagus on plates. Spoon vinaigrette over. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

2 cloves garlic minced, 1t lemon zest, iT sesame oil, 1lb asparagus in 2 inch pieces, 1 cup julienne carrots, 1 cup diagonally sliced celery, 1 red bell julienne, 1 onion thinly sliced, 2t corn starch, Cooked brown rice, 1T tasted sesame seeds

Steps:

  • Marinade beef in first five ingredients for 2 hrs covered in fridge. Heat oil in wok stir fry veggies until tender-crisp---remove and set asside Drain beef and stir for 2-3 min. 2 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce
2 tsp sesame seeds, toasted
1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
1 dash(es) pepper
1/2 tsp orange rind, grated

  • 1. Snap off tough ends of asparagus. Remove scales from stalks with a knife or vegetable peeler, if desired. Cut spears into 2-inch pieces.
