Tips:

  • Choose ripe pineapple: Using ripe pineapple ensures a sweeter and juicier taste in the final dish.
  • Prepare the pineapple properly: Remove the tough outer skin and core of the pineapple before slicing it into rings or wedges.
  • Use a flavorful glaze: The glaze adds a layer of sweetness and complexity to the roasted pineapple. Experiment with different flavors, such as honey, brown sugar, maple syrup, or flavored vinegars.
  • Roast the pineapple at a high temperature: High heat caramelizes the pineapple and creates a slightly crispy exterior.
  • Watch the cooking time: Overcooking can make the pineapple tough and dry. Keep an eye on the pineapple during roasting to ensure it reaches the desired level of doneness.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs: After roasting, garnish the pineapple with fresh herbs like mint or cilantro for an extra layer of flavor and color.

Conclusion:

Glazed roasted pineapple is a versatile dish that can be enjoyed on its own, as a side dish, or as an ingredient in various recipes.
