Tips:

  • Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor. Bottled lemon juice can be used in a pinch, but it won't taste as good.
  • If you don't have simple syrup, you can make your own by dissolving 1 cup of sugar in 1 cup of boiling water. Let it cool completely before using.
  • Use a good quality whiskey for the best results. A blended whiskey or a bourbon will work well.
  • Garnish your whiskey sour with a lemon twist or a maraschino cherry for a classic look.
  • If you like your whiskey sour on the sweeter side, add a little more simple syrup to taste.
  • If you like your whiskey sour on the tarter side, add a little more lemon juice to taste.
  • Whiskey sours can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Conclusion:

A whiskey sour is a classic cocktail that is easy to make and can be enjoyed by everyone. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a delicious and refreshing drink that is perfect for any occasion. So next time you're looking for a new cocktail to try, give the whiskey sour a try. You won't be disappointed.
