For a quick-prep biscuit breakfast casserole, combine refrigerated Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Southern Homestyle Buttermilk Biscuits with potatoes, sausage, bacon, cheese and eggs so every bite is as filling as it is flavorful. Prep it the night before, and bake your breakfast casserole with biscuits the next morning for the whole family to enjoy.

1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Southern Homestyle Buttermilk Biscuits (8 Count)
1 bag (20 oz) refrigerated diced potatoes with onions, chopped
2 cups frozen precooked pork sausage crumbles (from 9.6-oz package)
8 slices fully cooked bacon, heated, coarsely chopped (about 2/3 cup)
1/3 cup sliced green onions
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese (8 oz)
8 eggs
1 1/2 cups half-and-half
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Steps:

  • Spray 13x9-inch (3-quart) baking dish with cooking spray. Separate dough into 8 biscuits; cut each biscuit into 8 pieces. Arrange evenly in baking dish.
  • Top biscuits with potatoes, frozen sausage, bacon, green onions and 1 1/2 cups of the cheese. Set aside.
  • In large bowl, beat eggs, half-and-half, salt and pepper with whisk until well blended. Pour evenly over biscuit mixture in baking dish. Cover; refrigerate at least 8 hours or overnight.
  • Heat oven to 350°F. Uncover baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese. Bake 48 to 53 minutes or until center is set and edges are deep golden brown. Let stand 15 minutes before serving. Cover and refrigerate leftovers.

1 can flaky Grands biscuits, or any refrigerated biscuits
2 to 3 cups Cheddar cheese or Colby cheese, shredded
1 cup milk
Pre-cooked cubed ham, sliced ham, sausage patties or ground sausage
10 eggs
Salt and pepper, to taste
Cooking spray

Steps:

  • Brown the sausage, or cube ham ready for the casserole. Whisk together eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Stir in the cooked sausage or cubed ham if using along with the cheese. Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish. If using ham slices or sausage patties, lay them across the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Cut canned biscuits into quarters and fold into the egg mixture. Pour the egg mixture into the baking dish and bake at 350°F for 30-40 minutes or until the biscuits are nicely browned and the eggs set. Allow to cool a few minutes before cutting.

1 (10 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough (such as Pillsbury Grands!®)
1 (1 pound) bulk pork sausage
1 ½ cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
6 eggs
½ cup milk
salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 ½ cups cold water, or more as needed
1 (1.5 ounce) package pork gravy mix

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Line the bottom of the prepared baking dish with biscuits.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir sausage in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes; drain and discard grease. Scatter sausage over biscuit layer and top with 1 cup Cheddar cheese.
  • Whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper together in a bowl and pour over cheese layer.
  • Mix water and gravy mix together in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until gravy is thickened, 1 to 2 minutes, adding more water for a thinner gravy. Pour gravy over egg layer. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese over casserole.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until egg is fluffy and cheese is bubbling, about 30 minutes.

1 (8-ounce) bag shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup milk
1 cup ham, cubed (May substitute ground cooked sausage)
5 eggs
Salt and pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish with non stick spray. Mix all ingredients except biscuits in a medium size bowl. Cut biscuits into fours and carefully mix in. 1/3 pound bulk pork sausage
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper, divided
3/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon 2% milk, divided
1/2 cup frozen cubed hash brown potatoes, thawed
1 tablespoon butter
2 large eggs
1/8 teaspoon garlic salt
1 can (16.3 ounces) large refrigerated flaky biscuits
1/2 cup shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in the flour, salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper until blended; gradually add 3/4 cup milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove from the heat and set aside., In another large skillet over medium heat, cook potatoes in butter until tender. Whisk the eggs, garlic salt and remaining milk and pepper; add to skillet. Cook and stir until almost set., Press each biscuit onto the bottom and up the sides of 8 ungreased muffin cups. Spoon the egg mixture, half the cheese, and sausage into cups; sprinkle with remaining cheese., Bake at 375° for 18-22 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes before removing from pan. Freeze option: Freeze cooled biscuit cups in a freezer container, separating layers with waxed paper. To use, microwave 1 frozen biscuit cup on high for 50-60 seconds or until heated through.
