  • Combine grape jelly, chili sauce, and cayenne pepper in a saucepan over medium-high heat; cook until warm, 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Place meatballs in a slow cooker and top with grape jelly mixture.
  • Cook on Low for 3 to 4 hours.

This is easy and always a big hit at my get togethers, it's great with mini meatballs or Lil Smokies, to make it ever more easier purchase ready made frozen cooked small meatballs or you can make your own and cook them first, I use recipe#69173 see bottom of recipe for baking times --- this is great to take to a potluck :)

3 -5 lbs frozen cooked small meatballs or 3 -5 lbs Little Smokies sausages
1 (32 ounce) jar grape jelly
2 (12 ounce) jars chili sauce (I use Heinz Chili Sauce)
1 pinch cayenne pepper (optional)

Steps:

  • In a pot combine the grape jelly with the chili sauce; add in the meatballs and simmer for about 45 minutes uncovered or until the sauce has thickened.
  • If you are making my Parmesan meatball recipe use 2-1/2 to 3 pounds lean ground beef or use half beef and ground pork shape.
  • Shape into about 1-inch balls.
  • Place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
  • Place in the prepared sauce.

1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup soft breadcrumbs
1/4 cup onion, finely diced
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 garlic clove, chopped
2 tablespoons water
salt and pepper
2/3 cup grape jelly
2/3 cup chili sauce (or combine 1/2 cup ketchup with hot pepper sauce to your taste.)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Mix ground beef very well with first seven ingredients.
  • Roll meat mixture into about 20 - 24 meatballs, until all of the mixture is used up.
  • Brown meat balls in frying pan with vegetable oil.
  • Turn down the heat to.
  • low, and cover for five to seven minutes.
  • Remove meatballs to a plate and drain off the grease.
  • Add jelly and chili sauce mixture to the pan, letting the jelly melt, and the sauce thicken.
  • Add the meatballs back into the pan, spooning sauce over the meatballs, and simmer for another five minutes or so.

1 bag(s) frozen meatballs (from sam's about 80 in bag)

  • 1. Dump all three ingredients into your crockpot and turn it on low. Let it cook all night. Turn it down to warm in the morning and wait for the party.
