Categories     Vegetable

Yield 8 people

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 bunches asparagus woody ends trimmed
1.4 cup EVOO
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 cup PC Bread Dipper - Roasted Garlic & Parmesan

Steps:

  • 1. Soak 16 6 inch wooden skewers in warm water for 30 min. Preheat bbq to med. 2. Push one skewer crosswise through 4-5 asparagus spears. Push another skewer through the spears, parallel to the first skewer. It will look like a small asparagus raft. Repeat with remaining skewers and asparagus, making 8 rafts in all. 3. Brush asparagus with olive oil. Place on greased grill. Cook for 10-12 min, turning every 2-3 min or until slightly charred and tender-drisp. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Transfer to serving platter. Drizzle with Bread Dipper and serve.

Tips:

  • Choose thick asparagus spears for grilling, as they will hold up better to the heat and won't fall through the grates.
  • Trim the woody ends of the asparagus spears before grilling.
  • Toss the asparagus spears in olive oil, salt, and pepper before grilling. This will help them to caramelize and develop a nice flavor.
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat before grilling the asparagus spears.
  • Grill the asparagus spears for 3-5 minutes per side, or until they are tender-crisp.
  • Serve the grilled asparagus spears immediately with your favorite dipping sauce or topping.

Conclusion:

Grilled asparagus is a simple but delicious side dish that can be enjoyed as part of a healthy meal. It is a good source of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Grilled asparagus is also a versatile dish that can be served with a variety of dipping sauces or toppings. Whether you are looking for a quick and easy side dish or a healthy and flavorful addition to your next meal, grilled asparagus is a great option.
