Tips:

  • Choose the right cabbage: For this recipe, it's best to use a firm head of green or red cabbage, as they hold up well to grilling.
  • Cut the cabbage properly: Cut the cabbage into 1-inch thick wedges, making sure to cut through the core. This will help the cabbage cook evenly.
  • Season the cabbage: Before grilling, season the cabbage wedges with salt, pepper, and any other desired seasonings. This will help enhance the flavor of the cabbage.
  • Cook the bacon: Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
  • Grill the cabbage: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Place the cabbage wedges on the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until they are tender and slightly charred.
  • Add the bacon and cheese: Once the cabbage is cooked, top it with the cooked bacon and shredded cheese. Return the cabbage to the grill and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
