CHIPOTLE SAUCE FOR BURGERS OR GRILLED CHICKEN

Chipotle Sauce for Burgers or Grilled Chicken image

This sauce is a creamy, spicy and flavorful change from the regular ketchup or mayo that we usually put on our burgers or grilled chicken. It could be used as a salad dressing also or even with fish........any way you'd like to use it!! It's even great as a dip for veggies or tortilla chips. I have 3 different recipes. Below in the directions you'll find the other 2. My favorite use for it is with grilled chicken breast, lettuce and tomato on a toasted roll. YUM!!

Time 15m

Yield 1 bottle, 10-12 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 (16 ounce) bottle ranch dressing
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon chipotle chile in adobo

Steps:

  • Mix the ingredients at least a few hours before using so the flavors have a chance to blend.
  • Recipe #2: 1 envelope Ranch dressing mix, 2 cups sour cream, 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, juice of 1/2 of a lime, 1-2 T chipotle pepper in adobo sauce. Mix all together.
  • Recipe #3: 2 cups ranch dressing (preferably the kind made with the envelope since it's thicker), 1/2 cup salsa, 1/2 t chipotle chili powder or chili powder and cayenne (to your taste).

Tips:

  • Choose high-quality chicken: Opt for fresh, organic, or free-range chicken breasts or thighs for the best flavor and texture.
  • Grind the chicken yourself: This ensures a consistent texture and allows you to control the size of the grind. If you don't have a meat grinder, you can ask your butcher to do it for you.
  • Season the chicken well: Use a combination of spices, herbs, and aromatics to create a flavorful burger. Some popular options include garlic, onion, paprika, cumin, and chili powder.
  • Don't overmix the chicken: Overmixing can make the burgers tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Form the burgers gently: Handle the chicken mixture gently to avoid compacting it. This will help the burgers stay juicy and tender.
  • Cook the burgers over medium heat: This will help prevent the burgers from drying out. If you cook them over high heat, they will brown too quickly on the outside and remain raw on the inside.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure the burgers are cooked through: The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C) for safety.
  • Let the burgers rest before serving: This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the burgers, making them more flavorful and juicy.

Conclusion:

Grilled chicken burgers are a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed in many different ways. They can be served on a bun with your favorite toppings, or they can be used in salads, wraps, and sandwiches. With a little planning and preparation, you can easily make grilled chicken burgers at home that are just as good as (or even better than) the ones you get at a restaurant.
