Time 22m

Yield 1 piece, 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 lb tilapia fillets or 1 lb other white fish fillet
heavy duty aluminum foil
sea salt (optional)
black peppercorns (optional)
4 tablespoons savory herb butter

Steps:

  • Place one fish fillet in center of each sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil. Season with salt and pepper, if desired. Top each fillet with 1 tablespoon Savory Herb Butter. Bring up foil sides; double fold top and ends to tightly seal packet.
  • Grill over medium-high heat 10 to 12 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork, turning once.
  • Combine 1/2 cup (1 stick) softened butter with 1 teaspoon each McCormick Italian Seasoning, Garlic Powder and Ground Mustard; mix until well blended.

Tips:

  • Choose fresh tilapia fillets: Look for fillets that are firm to the touch and have a mild, fresh smell. Avoid fillets that are slimy or have a strong fishy odor.
  • Marinate the tilapia: Marinating the tilapia in a mixture of herbs, olive oil, and lemon juice will help to infuse it with flavor and keep it moist during grilling.
  • Grill the tilapia over medium heat: This will help to prevent the fish from sticking to the grill and will give it a nice, even cook.
  • Cook the tilapia until it is opaque and flakes easily with a fork: This will ensure that the fish is cooked through without overcooking it.
  • Serve the tilapia immediately: Grilled tilapia is best served hot off the grill. You can pair it with a variety of sides, such as roasted vegetables, rice, or potatoes.

Conclusion:

Grilled tilapia is a delicious and healthy meal that is easy to prepare. By following these tips, you can grill tilapia perfectly every time. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy weeknight meal, give grilled tilapia a try!
