Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of pork: Pork shoulder or butt is the best cut for pulled pork because it's well-marbled and flavorful. It also becomes very tender when cooked slowly.
  • Use a flavorful rub: The rub is what gives pulled pork its distinctive flavor. Be sure to use a rub that contains a variety of spices, herbs, and seasonings.
  • Cook the pork slowly and low: Pulled pork should be cooked at a low temperature for a long period of time. This allows the connective tissue in the pork to break down and the meat to become tender and juicy.
  • Shred the pork when it's done cooking: When the pork is done cooking, shred it with two forks. This will make it easier to eat and will also help the sauce to penetrate the meat.
  • Use a good barbecue sauce: The barbecue sauce is what really makes pulled pork special. Choose a sauce that is flavorful and has a bit of a kick to it.

Conclusion:

Pulled pork sandwiches are a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for any occasion. They can be served on buns, rolls, or even tortillas. Pulled pork is also a great option for leftovers. It can be used in tacos, burritos, or even pasta dishes.
