THE BEST BROWN SUGAR MEATLOAF

The Best Brown Sugar Meatloaf image

This recipe doesn't call for ketchup like many do. I use tomato sauce instead and it is topped with a tomato sauce and brown sugar glaze. It was my biggest seller at the club I used to cook for. Easy to make too. Compliment it with a beef gravy, mashed potatoes, and a side of corn,

  • Use lean ground beef: This will help reduce the fat and calories in your meatloaf.
  • Add vegetables to your meatloaf: This will help boost the nutritional value and make your meatloaf more moist.
  • Use a healthy binder: Instead of using bread crumbs or crackers, try using oatmeal, quinoa, or ground flaxseed.
  • Use a flavorful sauce: A good sauce can really make your meatloaf sing. Try using a tomato-based sauce, a barbecue sauce, or a mushroom sauce.
  • Don't overcook your meatloaf: The best way to ensure that your meatloaf is juicy and flavorful is to cook it to an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
