Combine the bread cubes and cooked vegetables in a large bowl and add the chicken stock, and almonds, if desired.

Tips:

  • Use fresh herbs and apples: Fresh herbs and apples provide the best flavor for stuffing. If you can, pick them from your own garden or buy them from a local farmer's market.
  • Don't overstuff the turkey: Stuffing expands as it cooks, so don't pack it in too tightly. Leave about 1/2 inch of space at the top of the turkey cavity.
  • Cook the stuffing to a safe internal temperature: The stuffing should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) before it is safe to eat. Use a meat thermometer to check the temperature.
  • Let the stuffing rest before serving: After the turkey is done cooking, let the stuffing rest for about 10 minutes before serving. This will help the stuffing to set and make it easier to serve.
