HERB RUBBED BISON SIRLION TIP ROAST
I got this off of a website about the great benefits of eating bison as opposed to beef. I was gifted a bunch of bison for a wedding present & had no idea how to cook it. In reality you only have to roast bison for half as long as you would a traditional beef roast as bison is so lean. This is a wonderful recipe & your guests wouldn't think anything other than WOW this is a great roast!

Tips:
- Choose the Right Cut of Beef: Select a sirloin tip roast that is well-marbled with fat, as this will help keep the meat moist and flavorful during cooking.
- Prepare the Herb Rub: Combine a flavorful blend of herbs and spices to create a rub that will enhance the natural taste of the beef. Common herbs and spices used in herb rubs include rosemary, thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Marinate the Beef: Marinating the beef in a mixture of oil, herbs, and spices helps tenderize the meat and infuse it with flavor. Allow the beef to marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
- Sear the Beef: Before roasting, sear the beef in a hot skillet or grill to create a flavorful crust and lock in the juices. This will help prevent the beef from drying out during cooking.
- Roast the Beef: Place the seared beef in a roasting pan and cook in a preheated oven at 325°F (165°C) for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.
- Rest the Beef: After roasting, allow the beef to rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a more tender and flavorful roast.
Conclusion:
Herb-rubbed sirloin tip roast is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed for lunch or dinner. With its flavorful herb rub, tender texture, and juicy interior, this roast is sure to impress your family and friends. Whether you choose to serve it with roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a simple salad, this dish is sure to be a hit.
