This recipe is credited to Pat Hockett in Wrangell, Alaska and was printed in the February/March 2006 Taste of Home magazine. It sounds like a simple way to add excitement to fresh baked bread, muffins or cereal.

ALMOND CRUMB SCONES WITH HONEY BUTTER
The next time you're hosting a brunch or want something special at breakfast, make these wonderful scones. They're soft and lightly sweet. Easy to make, they have a toasted almond aroma as they come out of the oven. Spread the honey butter on the scones when they're warm. It melts into the scone making them irresistible.

ALMOND BUTTER HONEY NUT O'S BARS
This just came to me in an email from Cascadian Farms and I am posting it here for safekeeping. The recipe is credited to Shaina Olmanson. I found them rather sweet, so I will probably reduce the honey/sugar. Instead of making a drizzle I just added chocolate chips and butterscotch chips into the mixture, which was yummy but again added to the sweetness. Experiment! Let me know what you change to make it work for your family :). Time does not include cooling time.

Steps:
- Measure cereal into a large mixing bowl. In a small saucepan heat sugar and honey just until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in the almond butter. Pour over cereal and stir to combine. Press into an 8" square dish. Allow to cool.
- In a double boiler, melt the chocolate. Drizzle over the top of the bars. Allow to set. Cut into 2" squares.
Tips:
- For a smoother almond butter, make sure to soak the almonds overnight before blending.
- If you don't have a food processor, you can use a blender to make almond butter.
- Add a little bit of honey or maple syrup to taste, if desired.
- If the almond butter is too thick, you can add a little bit of almond milk or water to thin it out.
- Store the almond butter in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Conclusion:
Honey almond butter is a delicious and versatile spread that can be used in a variety of recipes. It's a great source of healthy fats, protein, and fiber, and it's also a good source of vitamins and minerals. Whether you're using it as a spread on your morning toast, as a dip for fruits and vegetables, or as an ingredient in your favorite smoothie, honey almond butter is a delicious and healthy way to add some extra flavor and nutrition to your diet.
