6 chicken thighs
2 teaspoons garlic powder

¼ cup water
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce

Time 3h30m

Yield 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 large bone-in skin-on chicken thighs

Steps:

  • Mix together the honey, soy sauce, vinegar, thyme, pepper and garlic in a bowl. Reserve 1/4 cup of the marinade to use for basting later. Marinate the chicken with the remaining liquid in a resealable bag for 2 to 3 hours in the refrigerator.
  • Heat one side of a gas grill to medium heat, keeping one side cooler. Grill the chicken thighs on medium for approximately 5 minutes on each side, taking care not to let the sugars burn. Move the thighs to the cool side of the grill and baste with the reserved marinade. Cover the grill and cook, basting every 3 to 4 minutes, until the thighs are cooked completely through, about 10 minutes more.

Yield 8

Number Of Ingredients 10

8 (5 ounce) boneless chicken thighs
salt and ground black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil, or as needed
½ medium onion, finely chopped
7 cloves garlic, chopped, or to taste
1 cup honey
½ cup soy sauce
1 pinch onion powder, or to taste
1 pinch garlic powder, or to taste
¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro

Steps:

  • Season the chicken on both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Cover the bottom of a cast iron skillet with olive oil and bring to medium-high heat. Add chicken and brown on one side, 3 to 5 minutes. Flip chicken, and add onion and garlic; continue to cook until chicken is mostly (but not fully) cooked and onion and garlic are soft, 5 to 7 minutes more. Remove chicken to a plate.
  • Add honey, soy sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, and onion powder to the skillet. Stir and scrape the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon to get the garlic and onion to mix with the liquid.
  • Put chicken back into the pan, cover, and reduce heat to medium. Cook until no longer pink in the center and juices run clear, about 10 more minutes, turning once halfway through. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of a thigh should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
  • Place on a serving tray and drizzle liquid from the pan on top. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro before serving.

Categories     Chicken

Time 35m

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 lb boneless/skinless chicken thighs
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c orange juice
1/2 c soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp red chili flakes
1/2 c honey
1 Tbsp freshly crushed garlic
1/2 Tbsp corn starch

Steps:

  • 1. Cut up chicken into bite size pieces, I air fried, but you can pan fry.
  • 2. combine in a sauce pan the rest of ingredients and bring to a boil, then turn off.
  • 3. add chicken to sauce and simmer 15 minutes

Tips:

  • Choose the right chicken thighs: Look for boneless, skinless chicken thighs that are about the same size so they cook evenly.
  • Marinate the chicken: Marinating the chicken in a mixture of soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic, and ginger adds flavor and helps tenderize the meat.
  • Cook the chicken over medium heat: This will help prevent the chicken from burning and ensure that it cooks through.
  • Use a meat thermometer: To ensure that the chicken is cooked through, insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the thigh. The chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Make sure the sauce is thick and glossy: The sauce should be thick and glossy when the chicken is done cooking. If it is too thin, you can simmer it for a few minutes to thicken it up.
  • Garnish with green onions: Garnish the chicken with green onions before serving for a pop of color and flavor.

Conclusion:

Honey garlic chicken thighs are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. The chicken is tender and juicy, and the sauce is sweet, savory, and garlicky. This dish is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
