Tips:

  • Use firm or extra-firm tofu. This will hold its shape better in the soup.
  • Press the tofu before cooking. This will remove excess water and help the tofu absorb more flavor.
  • Use a variety of vegetables. This will add flavor, color, and texture to the soup.
  • Don't overcrowd the pot. If you add too many ingredients at once, the soup will become watery.
  • Simmer the soup for at least 15 minutes. This will allow the flavors to meld.
  • Season the soup to taste. Add more soy sauce, rice vinegar, or chili paste, if desired.
  • Serve the soup hot. Top with fresh cilantro, green onions, and a drizzle of sesame oil.

Conclusion:

Hot and sour tofu soup is a delicious and easy-to-make soup that is perfect for a quick and healthy meal. It is packed with flavor and vegetables, and it can be easily customized to your liking. Whether you are a fan of spicy food or not, this soup is sure to please everyone at the table. So next time you are looking for a comforting and flavorful soup, give hot and sour tofu soup a try.
