Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 pan and stir together the flour, sugar, 4 tbsp cocoa baking powder and salt. Mix in milk oil, and vanilla with a fork until smooth. Stir in nuts.
- 2. Spread evenly in the pan. Sprinkle the top with brown sugar and the 1/2 cup of cocoa. Pour the hot water over all and bake for 45 minutes.
- 3. Spoon in dishes and spoon chocolate sauce over top. Top with ice cream or whip cream if desired.
Tips:
- Use high-quality ingredients. The better the ingredients, the better the cake will be. Use real butter, not margarine, and use good-quality chocolate chips.
- Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can make the cake tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
- Bake the cake at the right temperature. The cake should be baked at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. If the oven is too hot, the cake will brown too quickly and the inside will be undercooked.
- Let the cake cool completely before frosting it. This will help the frosting to set properly.
- Use a good-quality hot fudge sauce. The hot fudge sauce is what really makes this cake special. Use a sauce that is thick and rich, and that has a deep chocolate flavor.
Conclusion:
Hot fudge sundae cake is a delicious and decadent dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own tastes. Whether you like your cake with chocolate chips, nuts, or whipped cream, there is a hot fudge sundae cake recipe out there for you.
