Oreo Cookie Ice cream Dessert With Homemade Chocolate Topping image

This was a big favorite in our house when I was growing up. My mom made it for all of our company during the winter time. It has the most delicious chocolate topping on top which just makes this dessert. You can experiment with different flavors of icecream. I usually stick with vanilla or peppermint (at Christmas time).

- Ensure all your ingredients are cold before you start making ice cream. This will help the ice cream freeze faster and smoother. - Use high-quality ingredients for the best flavor. This includes using real cream, milk, and sugar, as well as fresh fruit and extracts. - Don't overbeat the ice cream base. Overbeating can incorporate too much air into the ice cream, making it grainy. - Freeze the ice cream base for at least 4 hours before churning. This will help it set properly. - Churn the ice cream according to the manufacturer's instructions. - Transfer the churned ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving. - When serving, let the ice cream sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes to soften slightly.
