INDIAN TOMATO CHICKEN
Chicken pieces coated with many fragrant spices like turmeric, cardamom and cloves, then simmered in a tomato sauce. This dish is a family favorite. I have also taken it to potlucks and served it to guests in my home. Everyone asks for the recipe. It is a great slow cooker meal, too.

Tips for Making Indian Chicken and Mushrooms in Spiced Tomato Cream
- Use fresh ingredients: As with any dish, the quality of your ingredients will have a big impact on the final product. Make sure to use fresh chicken, mushrooms, tomatoes, and spices.
- Don't be afraid to adjust the spices: The recipe calls for a specific blend of spices, but you can adjust them to your own taste. If you like things spicy, add more chili powder or cayenne pepper. If you prefer a milder flavor, reduce the amount of these spices.
- Cook the chicken and mushrooms thoroughly: Make sure the chicken is cooked through before adding the mushrooms. This will help to prevent the mushrooms from becoming soggy.
- Don't overcook the mushrooms: Mushrooms are delicate and can easily become overcooked. Cook them just until they are tender, about 5 minutes.
- Use a good quality cream: The cream is an important part of the sauce, so make sure to use a good quality product. Heavy cream or whipping cream will give you the best results.
- Serve immediately: This dish is best served immediately, while the sauce is still hot and creamy.
Conclusion
Indian Chicken and Mushrooms in Spiced Tomato Cream is a flavorful and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. The chicken and mushrooms are cooked in a creamy tomato sauce that is bursting with flavor. Serve it over rice or with naan bread for a complete meal.
