ITALIAN PARMESAN BREAD FOR BREAD MACHINE

Italian Parmesan Bread for Bread Machine image

I've been making this bread for years without measuring, and finally decided to write it down. My most requested bread from my bread-lovin' son. Makes the house smell divine!! You can easily increase the amounts of seasonings to your taste. (NOTE: Many people seem to be needing to add extra water, so I'm adding an adjustment to the recipe.)

Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 4

8 Tbsp butter, softened
2 Tbsp italian dressing (your favorite)
1/4 c grated parmesan cheese
1 loaf italian or french bread (about 14-16" long)

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 450°.
  • 2. In a small bowl, mix first three ingredients well. Cut bread into 15 diagonal slices, almost completely the way through. Spread mixture on one side of the each slice.
  • 3. Wrap in heavy-duty aluminum foil, leaving a partial opening at the top. Bake 15 minutes or until heated through.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients. The better the ingredients, the better the bread will be. Look for fresh Parmesan cheese, good-quality olive oil, and fresh herbs.
  • Don't overwork the dough. Overworking the dough will make the bread tough. Mix the dough just until it comes together.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place. This will help the dough to rise properly and develop a good flavor.
  • Bake the bread in a preheated oven. This will help the bread to rise evenly and develop a crispy crust.
  • Let the bread cool before slicing. This will help the bread to keep its shape and prevent it from crumbling.

Conclusion:

Parmesan bread is a delicious and versatile bread that can be enjoyed in many ways. It can be served as an appetizer, a side dish, or even as a main course. It is also a great bread to use for sandwiches and Panini. With its cheesy, garlicky flavor and crispy crust, Parmesan bread is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
