JALAPENO-BACON STUFFING
This is a side dish that goes great with turkey and is 100 times better than a "stovetop stuffing." If you take it to a potluck dinner you will be forever doomed to repeat the same dish forever...they demand it year after year. The jalapenos are the key; I chop them very fine. I have used up to 6 tablespoons, but 4 seems about perfect.

SOUTHWESTERN CORNBREAD STUFFING (DRESSING)
Over the years I've developed my own version of cornbread dressing. We like it spicey but you can control the 'heat' by omitting the jalapenos. In a pinch I've even made with a small can of diced mild green chiles. This is a very forgiving dish so feel free to experiment . . . add some corn, etc.

Tips:
- Use fresh or frozen corn. Fresh corn will give you the best flavor, but frozen corn is a good option if you don't have access to fresh corn. Just be sure to thaw the corn before using it.
- Don't overcook the cornbread. Overcooked cornbread will be dry and crumbly. Cook it just until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Use a good quality broth. The broth you use will make a big difference in the flavor of your dressing. Use a broth that you like the taste of, such as chicken broth, vegetable broth, or beef broth.
- Add some herbs and spices. Herbs and spices can help to enhance the flavor of your dressing. Some good options include sage, thyme, rosemary, and black pepper.
- Don't be afraid to experiment. There are many different ways to make cornbread dressing. Feel free to experiment with different ingredients and flavors until you find a recipe that you love.
Conclusion:
Jalapeno cornbread dressing is a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that is perfect for any occasion. It is a great way to use up leftover cornbread, and it can be made ahead of time, which makes it a great option for busy weeknights. So next time you are looking for a side dish that is sure to please everyone, give jalapeno cornbread dressing a try.
