Steps:

  • Bake cake according to package directions in 13 x 9 pan (use all egg whites).
  • Cool awhile.
  • Dissolve jello in boiling water.
  • Poke holes all over cake with large utility fork.
  • Spoon jello evenly over cake.
  • Refrigerate at least a couple of hours.
  • Prepare pudding as directed on package for pudding.
  • Chill awhile.
  • Spread pudding evenly over cake.
  • Chill.

1 (4 ounce) package jello lemon flavor instant pudding and pie filling or 1 (4 ounce) package vegetarian lemon flavor instant pudding and pie filling

4 eggs
1 cup water
1/4 cup oil
1 cup confectioners' sugar, sifted
1 tablespoon hot milk
3 -5 drops yellow food coloring

Steps:

  • Blend all ingredients in a large mixer bowl; then beat 2 minutes at medium speed.
  • Bake in greased and floured 10-inch bundt or tube pan at 350 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes, or until cake springs back when lightly pressed.

1 box of strawberry jello (regular or sugar free) using 1/2 cup less water
1 - 8oz thawed container cool whip topping

  • 1. Bake cake mix according to box directions. Set cake aside to cool well. Prepare jello according to box directions using 1/2 cup "less" cold water... cool in refrigerator until jello is barely tacky (do not let it set up). Using a wooden skewer poke approx 40 holes throughout entire cake ... with a tablespoon pour into holes the jello water ... some will run over but that is ok. Cover cake with saran wrap, refrigerate until cool and jello is set up. Frost cake with Cool whip topping . Serve and Enjoy.

  • Prepare the first three Jell-O packages (orange, cherry and lime) using one cup of boiling water and 1/2 cup of cold water for each flavors. Pour each mixture into separate 8-inch square glass pans. Chill overnight until the they are firmed. Combine the lemon Jell-O package, granulated sugar and one cup of boiling water. Stir until the Jell-O and sugar dissolve. Stir in pineapple juice. Chill until it is slightly solidified but not firm. Cut the firm Jell-O into 1/2 inch cubes. Follow the directions in the package to prepare the Dream Whip. Mix the Dream Whip with the lemon Jell-O done previously. Gently fold in the three colors of Jell-O cubes. Spoon into 9-inch springform pan. Chill at least five hours or overnight. Run a knife or a spatula between the edges of the pan to remove sides of cake. Spread additional whipped topping on top and the sides before serving.

6 teaspoons plain unflavored gelatin
6 (3-ounce) packages of jell-o, to your liking
1 1/8 cup vanilla yogurt

Steps:

  • Lightly spray bundt pan with cooking spray, wipe out excess. Place 3/4 cup water in saucepan sprinkle one teaspoon unflavored gelatin over it, let sit for a minute or two. Heat on medium-low stirring constantly with whisk until dissolved, about 5 minutes. Add first package jell-o, whisk in until thoroughly dissolved, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in 1/2 cup cold alcohol pour 3/4 cup jell-o mixture into mold, place mold in refrigerator. After 10 to 15 minutes place rest of jell-o mixture into bowl place in refrigerator for 5 minutes. Take bowl out add 3 tablespoons vanilla yogurt and whisk thoroughly, gently add to bundt pan place back in refrigerator. Wash all your utensils and start over with next flavor. NOTE: As the pan chills more and the layers get thinner it will go faster to add next layer. If it feels slightly tacky to the touch it is ready. If it's not set enough the layers will "bleed" through, if it sits too long the layers will come apart. When you add the last layer refrigerate at least overnight, with clean hands pull jell-o away from the edges of the pan, dip almost to top into a container or sink of warm water for 10 seconds, remove and jiggle pan, if it looks like it's coming away from the edges it's ready, if not, dip again for a few seconds. Place serving plate upside down over top, invert, and voila. A beautiful, delicious, impressive dessert!

  • Bake cake mix in a 9x13 pan according to package directions. While cake is still warm, poke holes in the top of the cake using the handle of a wooden spoon. You could use a fork, but I like nice, big holes for the pudding to fill up. Mix Jello with boiling water until completely dissolved and pour over cake. Allow cake to cool completely. 1 box white or yellow cake mix
1- 3 oz. box jello gelatin, any flavor, regular or sugar free

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven as directed on cake mix box. Follow directions for making a 9X13 cake including all ingredients called for on the box. Bake cake as instructed.
  • 2. About 5 minutes before the cake is done, in a small bowl, mix jello powder and 1 1/4 cup hot water. Stir until dissolved. NOTE: You do not use the amount of water called for to make regular jello.
  • 3. When cake is done, let it cool 5 minutes. Poke the cake with a fork or a kebab pole all over the top of the cake going down to the bottom of the pan. Make sure you get the edges and corners.
  • 4. Using a tablespoon, slowly drip the dissolved hot jello over the cake, taking care to get all of the holes. Cool cale completely and put in refrigerator to continue to cool and set- about 4 hours.
  • 5. I use this frosting on my poke cakes. I sometimes match the flavor but you can mix it up to make it match holiday colors, shower color or birthday party colors. 1 (3 ounce) box lime jello
2 cups boiling water

  • Prepare and bake cake according to package directions for a 2 layer round cake. Place cooled cake layers, top-sides up, in clean 8 or 9-inch round pans; pierce with large fork at 1/2-inch intervals. In separate bowls, add 1 cup boiling water to each flavor dry gelatin mix. Stir 2 minutes or until completely dissolved. Slowly pour 3/4 of the red gelatin mixture over 1 cake round and 3/4 of the lime gelatin over second cake layer. 1 cup pineapple juice
2 cartons of heavy whipping cream

  • Make all of the Jello, except the lemon or strawberry, using 1 cup of hot water - 1/2 cup of cold water for each package. Pour each flavor into an ice cube tray to cube and place in the refrigerator to set. Use 2 packages of lady fingers to line the sides and bottom of spring form pan. Empty package of strawberry Jello into a pan with 1 cup pineapple juice and 1/2 cup of water. Bring to a boil and pour into a bowl and place in refrigerator until almost set. Whip 2 cartons of heavy cream. Fold into strawberry Jello. Cube all of the remaining Jello into small squares and add to the strawberry Jello. Pour 3/4 of cubes into spring pan lined with lady fingers. Place the rest of the cubes on top.

This is a variation of a Lemon Jello Pound Cake I found on another recipe site. I'm experimenting with cake decorating/sculpting, and it carves rather nicely. It called for lemon jello instead of strawberry, lemon extract instead of vanilla, and apricot nectar instead of orange juice. I will continue to experiment with different flavors of jello, extracts, and juices. I would like to encourage you to do the same and post your variations in your reviews. NOTE: For my purposes, I used cupcake tins for my layers, so I've set the servings accordingly. UPDATE: Originally, I posted this with orange juice instead of strawberry-banana nectar, so the first 2 reviews reflect that. I have since tried strawberry-banana nectar, and I like it much better for the strawberry flavor. If you want to try what's been reviewed or can't find the nectar, try the OJ. It's just got a little bite to it where the nectar is a more mellow flavor.

1 1/2 sticks butter, softened
1/2 c brown sugar
1 1/2 c flour
1 c chopped walnuts or pecans
Cream Layer:
1 (3 oz) package lemon Jello (small box)
1 c boiling water
1/2 c sugar
8 oz package cream cheese (one block), softened
1 cup heavy whipping cream
Jello Layer:
1 (6 oz) package lime Jello (large box)
2 c boiling water
1 c cold water

Steps:

  • Crust: Cream together butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add flour and nuts to the mix. Press dough into buttered 9 x 13 inch pan. I use the Pyrex pan. Bake crust for 10-15 minutes in preheated 375 degrees oven or until crust is brown. Let cool. Cream layer: Dissolve lemon Jello with 1 cup boiling water. Let this mixture cool. In a large bowl, cream together sugar and cream cheese. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks (but don't make butter). Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture. Don't worry about it blending perfectly. Add the cooled lemon Jello and hand whisk together. Pour cream mixture over cooled crust and chill until firm in the refrigerator. Jello layer: In a large bowl, dissolve lime Jello with 2 cups boiling water. Add 1 cup cold water. Let this mixture cool. Pour on top of cheese mixture and return to refrigerator to cool completely. Cut and enjoy! Notes: You can, of course, change the color to suit your mood or holiday. This makes a bunch and can get pretty tall! 1 box duncan hines yellow cake mix
3 large eggs ; according to the pkg.
1 1/3 c water ; according to the pkg.

FOR THE JELLO SHOTS :
1 sm. box jello ; any flavor ( i like the fushions )
1 c water ; boiling
1 c vodka ; but you can use what ever you desire

Steps:

  • 1. Mix the Pkg. cake mix according to the box directions but cook it in a Bundt pan. 350° for 38-43 minutes. Cool.
  • 2. To make the Jello Shots mix the package of Jello with boiling water until all the Jello is dissolved ; add liquor of your choice.( I like vodka or rum )
  • 3. Remove the cake from the pan ; Wash and dry the pan and spray with veg. spray so the cake won't stick to the Bundt pan ; Put the cake back in the pan.
  • 4. Poke holes in a zig zag pattern around the cake , about 1" apart with the handle of a wooden spoon and Carefully pour the Jello in the holes.
  • 5. Place the cake in the refrigerator to set the Jello for about 3-4 hours. Invert onto a plater ; and serve :)
  • 6. I like to mix up 2 different flavors of Jello ( Don't mix the flavors of alcohol )and pour a different flavor in every other hole ; makes it prettier and more potent ...enjoy

  • Lightly spray bundt pan with cooking spray, wipe out excess. Place 3/4 cup water in saucepan, sprinkle one teaspoon unflavored gelatin over it, let sit for a minute or two, heat on medium-low stirring constantly with whisk until dissolved, about 5 minutes. Wash all your utensils and start over with next flavor, as the pan chills more and the layers get thinner it will go faster to add next layer, if it feels slightly tacky to the touch it is ready. If it's not set enough the layers will "bleed" through, it it sits too long the layers will come apart. When you add the last layer refrigerate at least overnight, with clean hands pull jell-o away from the edges of the pan, dip almost to top into a container or sink of warm, not hot, water for 10 seconds, remove and jiggle pan, if it looks like it's coming away from the edges it's ready, if not, dip again for a few seconds. Place serving plate upside down over top, invert, and voila. A beautiful, delicious, impressive dessert!

I make plenty of jello cakes, My children usually ask for a surprize jello cake for there birthdays. And they all prefer orange chocolate, so why not combine both! So this is what I made for a dear friend of mine who always is asking for my orange chocolate when i make! Happy Birthday Midge!!

package orange jello
chocolate frosting
orange flavoring

Steps:

  • 1. Bake an cool chocolate cake. poke holes in cake with straw. Prepare jello w/one cup boiling water and 1/2cup cold water. Pour jello over cake and refridgerate for few hours til ready to frost.
  • 2. Mix few drops orange extract in a chocolate frosting, microwave for 30 sec so its easy to spread on cake. decorate and cool in fridge til ready to serve.

10 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup nuts, chopped
1 (3 ounce) box lemon Jell-O gelatin
1 cup hot water
3/4 cup sugar
8 ounces cream cheese
1 (8 ounce) bottle avoset whipping cream
2 (3 ounce) boxes Jello gelatin (any flavor)
3 cups hot water

Steps:

  • For crust, cream butter and brown sugar. Add the flour and chopped nuts. Press dough into buttered 9 X 13 inch pan and bake for 10 minutes in 375 degree oven or until top browns.
  • For filling, dissolve box of lemon jello into the one cup of hot water and cool. Cream the sugar and the cream cheese. Whip the bottle of Avoset or whipping cream and fold into the cheese mixture. Then fold the cooled lemon jello to the cheese mixture. Pour on top of cooled crust and chill until firm.
  • For the topping, dissolve the two boxes of jello until the three cups of hot water and cool. Then pour slowly on top of hardened cheese mixture and chill until firm.
  • Cut into desired shapes and serve.
