Yield about 48 cookies

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (see Cook's Note)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 stick unsalted butter (8 tablespoons), at room temperature
1/2 cup granulated sugar, plus more for rolling cookies
1/2 cup light brown sugar

Tips:

  • For the perfect peanut butter filling, make sure it's not too runny or too stiff. If it's too runny, the filling will spread too much and won't hold its shape. If it's too stiff, it will be difficult to work with and won't be as creamy. The ideal consistency is a thick, spreadable paste.
  • When rolling the dough into balls, be sure to roll them tightly so that the filling doesn't leak out. If the filling does leak out, simply press it back into the ball.
  • Before baking, chill the dough balls for at least 30 minutes. This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the cookies until the edges are just starting to brown. Overbaking will make the cookies dry and crumbly.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before rolling them in powdered sugar. This will help the powdered sugar stick to the cookies.

Conclusion:

These peanut butter blossoms are a classic cookie recipe that is perfect for any occasion. They're easy to make, delicious, and always a hit with friends and family. With a few simple tips, you can make sure your peanut butter blossoms turn out perfect every time. So what are you waiting for? Give this recipe a try today!
