Steps:
- Stir the canola oil, root beer, Worcestershire sauce, teriyaki sauce, steak sauce, garlic salt, onion salt, black pepper, basil, thyme, and rosemary together in a bowl.
- Pierce the steaks in several places on both sides; arrange in a single layer in a shallow non-reactive dish. Pour the marinade over the steaks, flipping the meat to coat both sides. Allow to marinate in refrigerator 3 to 4 hours, flipping meat once halfway through.
- Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat, and lightly oil the grate.
- Remove the steaks from the marinade and shake off excess moisture; discard the remaining marinade.
- Cook the steaks until they are beginning to firm, and are hot and slightly pink in the center, 5 to 7 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 140 degrees F (60 degrees C) for medium.

This is a family recipe that has been developed only over the last 5 years. In this short time it's made me famous in our close circle, but until now I've never shared it with anyone.

JUICY MARINATED FLANK STEAK
A great tasting steak with homemade marinade from Taste of Home magazine. Wonderful served on soft Kaiser rolls or submarine buns with some grilled onions, green peppers, or mushrooms on the side. Also makes good 'cheese steak' sandwiches by adding some fried onions on top and grated cheese to melt when serving. I usually serve this steak with Recipe #124798 (no mayonnaise) and cole slaw or a green salad for a great barbecue dinner. Have also served it with Debber's Recipe #217754 which is a great potato salad too.

TANGY AND JUICY MARINADE FOR STEAKS & LAMB CHOPS
This ia great marinade! You will be happy you tried this recipe. I came up with it while messing around in the kitchen. The steaks were so juicy and tangy, I cannot wait to make these again! My husband ABSOLUTELY loved them! Preparation includes marinating time. I would double the recipe for every two steaks or four chops added, to be sure there is plenty of marinade.

Tips:
- Choose the right steak: For marinating, select steaks that are at least 1 inch thick. This will ensure that the marinade has enough time to penetrate the meat and flavor it thoroughly.
- Use a flavorful marinade: The marinade is what gives the steak its flavor, so make sure to use a marinade that you enjoy. There are many different marinade recipes available, so experiment until you find one that you like.
- Marinate the steak for at least 30 minutes: The longer you marinate the steak, the more flavorful it will be. However, do not marinate the steak for more than 24 hours, as this can make the meat tough.
- Bring the steak to room temperature before cooking: This will help the steak cook evenly.
- Cook the steak over medium-high heat: This will help to sear the outside of the steak and lock in the juices.
- Let the steak rest before serving: This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the steak, resulting in a more tender and flavorful steak.
Conclusion:
Marinating steak is a great way to add flavor and tenderness to the meat. By following the tips above, you can ensure that your marinated steak turns out perfectly every time. So next time you're grilling or cooking steak, be sure to try one of the marinade recipes from this article. You won't be disappointed!
