Tips:

  • Use fresh key limes. Fresh key limes have a brighter, more intense flavor than bottled or frozen lime juice. If you can't find key limes, you can substitute regular limes, but the flavor will be slightly different.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing the dough will make the cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough before baking. Chilling the dough will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the cookies until they are just set. Overbaking the cookies will make them dry and crumbly. Bake them just until the edges are golden brown and the centers are still slightly soft.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before serving. The cookies will continue to firm up as they cool.

Conclusion:

Key lime crisps cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat. They're perfect for any occasion, from a casual get-together to a special holiday party. With their bright, citrusy flavor and crispy texture, key lime crisps cookies are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them.
