GRILLED KING CRAB LEGS RECIPE - (4.5/5)

Grilled King Crab Legs Recipe - (4.5/5) image

Provided by mirelsonp

Number Of Ingredients 3

2 lb. Alaskan king crab legs, thawed
Lemon wedges, for serving
Clarified butter, for serving

Steps:

  • Build a hot fire in a charcoal grill or heat a gas grill to high. (Alternatively, heat a cast-iron grill pan over high heat.) Add crab legs; cook, turning, until shells are charred and crab meat is heated through, about 8 minutes. Serve with lemons and butter.

Tips:

  • Choose the right crab: Look for king crabs that are heavy for their size, with bright red or orange shells. Avoid any crabs with brown or black spots, as these may indicate that the crab is old or diseased.
  • Thaw frozen crab legs properly: If you're using frozen crab legs, thaw them in the refrigerator overnight or in a bowl of cold water for 30 minutes per pound.
  • Cook the crab legs quickly: Overcooking will toughen the crab meat, so cook the crab legs just until they're heated through. This will usually take about 5-7 minutes per pound.
  • Serve the crab legs with melted butter, lemon wedges, and cocktail sauce.

Conclusion:

King crab legs are a delicious and luxurious seafood delicacy. With just a few simple steps, you can easily cook them at home and enjoy a restaurant-quality meal. So next time you're looking for a special dish to serve, give king crab legs a try!
