This tastes better than any Krab salad from a Deli. You can substitute cooked Krab and shrimp for the 12 oz. cooked Krab. Adjust the amount of mayonnaise to suit your own taste. The two hours cooking time is actually the time in the refrigerator. Have plenty of your favorite crackers on hand!

Number Of Ingredients 8

12 ounces imitation crabmeat, pre-cooked, found in seafood section at grocery store
1 small celery rib, chopped fine
1 green onion, chopped fine, include green and white part
2 tablespoons lemon juice, bottled or fresh (fresh is best)
1 teaspoon dried dill weed
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
1/2 cup Best Foods Mayonnaise

Steps:

  • Place chopped celery and green onion in a medium sized bowl.
  • Roughly chop the Krab (or Krab and shrimp) into bite-sized pieces and place in the bowl on top of the veggies.
  • Pour lemon juice over the Krab.
  • Sprinkle dill weed over the top.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Stir in mayonnaisse and taste for seasoning.
  • Adjust if needed.
  • Cover and refrigerate for a couple of hours or so to make the flavors pop.
  • Serve with crackers.

2 cups canned crabmeat, drained, flaked and cartilage removed
1/2 cup minced green onions
1/2 cup diced celery
1/2 cup finely chopped green pepper
1 tablespoon ground mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoons celery seed
SAUCE:
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup sour cream
1/3 cup chili sauce
2 teaspoons lemon juice
2 cups shredded lettuce
4 hard-boiled large eggs, sliced
4 medium tomatoes, cut into wedges

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the crab, vegetables and seasonings. Combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, chili sauce and lemon juice; pour over salad and gently toss to coat. , Arrange lettuce on four individual plates or serving plate. Top with crab salad; garnish with eggs and tomatoes. Refrigerate until serving.

1/2 cup celery (chopped)
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons onions (chopped)

1/8 teaspoon paprika (optional)

Steps:

  • Mix Krab, Celery and Onion together.

1 small onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup diced green pepper
3 tablespoons butter, divided
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
3/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 pound fresh or canned crabmeat, drained, flaked and cartilage removed or 1 cup imitation crabmeat, flaked
1/3 cup mayonnaise
Dash hot pepper sauce
2 tablespoons dry bread crumbs
Dash paprika

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, saute onion and green pepper in 2 tablespoons butter. Stir in flour until blended; gradually stir in the milk. Add chili powder and salt. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1 minute or until thickened. Remove from the heat; stir in the crab, mayonnaise and hot pepper sauce., Transfer to a greased shallow 1-qt. baking dish. Melt the remaining butter and toss with bread crumbs. Sprinkle over crab mixture. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until heated through. Sprinkle with paprika.

1 tablespoon butter
1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 pound crabmeat
1 (8 ounce) package seashell pasta
2 strips celery, sliced
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 green onion, thinly sliced
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ cup slivered, toasted almonds
1 cup mayonnaise
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
½ teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning TM

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and saute shrimp until pink. Add crabmeat and cook one more minute or until heated through. Set aside.
