Vanilla extract, to taste

1 box 7.6 oz. krispy kreme donut holes
1 c heavy cream
1 c milk
2 eggs
3 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Steps:

  • 1. Layer donut holes in greased 8 x 8" baking dish. Whisk together the cream, milk, eggs, sugar, and vanilla. Pour over donuts, mashing down a little so all get saturated. Cover with foil and chill for one hour, tossing occasionally.
  • 2. Bake at 350 degrees (covered with foil) for 40 minutes. Remove foil and bake 20 minutes more until top is golden brown.
  • 3. GLAZE: 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, 3 T. heavy cream, 1 T. butter. Melt all together and drizzle over warm bread pudding! ENJOY!

Tips:

- Use stale bread: Stale bread works best for bread pudding because it absorbs more of the custard mixture, resulting in a richer and more flavorful pudding. - Use a variety of breads: Feel free to use a mix of different types of bread, such as white, wheat, or sourdough. This will add different flavors and textures to the pudding. - Customize the pudding: You can add various ingredients to the custard mixture to customize the flavor of the pudding. For example, you can add spices like cinnamon or nutmeg, or extracts like vanilla or almond. You can also add fruits, nuts, or chocolate chips. - Bake the pudding in a water bath: Baking the pudding in a water bath helps to distribute the heat evenly, resulting in a smooth and creamy texture. - Serve the pudding warm or cold: Bread pudding can be served warm or cold, depending on your preference. If you serve it warm, you can top it with whipped cream or ice cream. If you serve it cold, you can top it with fresh fruit or berries.

Conclusion:

Krispy Kreme bread pudding is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert. It is a great way to use up stale bread, and it can be customized to your liking. Whether you serve it warm or cold, Krispy Kreme bread pudding is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
