LAYERED SPINACH SALAD-#2

Layered Spinach Salad-#2 image

This has been a summer staple in our family for about 30 years-where it originally came from, I don't know. My Mom & I have been avid cooks since I was a child and we both collect recipes from everywhere & fool around ourselves, quite a bit. You can use boiled ham from the deli and canned bacon bits for no cooking at all. It's also very easy to expand the recipe for pot lucks, parties, or a buffet.

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: Fresh spinach, ham, and vegetables will give your salad the best flavor.
  • Don't overcook the ham: Overcooked ham will be tough and dry. Cook it just until it is heated through.
  • Use a variety of vegetables: This will give your salad more flavor and texture. Some good options include cherry tomatoes, red onion, cucumber, and celery.
  • Make your own dressing: A homemade dressing will give your salad more flavor than a store-bought dressing. There are many different recipes for salad dressing online or in cookbooks.
  • Serve the salad immediately: Salad is best when it is served fresh. If you need to make it ahead of time, store it in the refrigerator and then let it come to room temperature before serving.

Conclusion:

Ham and spinach salad is a refreshing, light, and flavorful salad that is perfect for a summer lunch or dinner. It is also a great way to use up leftover ham. With its fresh ingredients and homemade dressing, this salad is sure to please everyone at your table.
