Tips:

  • Choose the right type of potatoes. For this recipe, it's best to use a starchy potato, such as a Russet or Yukon Gold. These potatoes will hold their shape well when cooked.
  • Cut the potatoes into even-sized pieces. This will help them cook evenly.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan. When cooking the potatoes, make sure to leave enough space between them so that they can brown evenly.
  • Cook the potatoes until they are golden brown. This will ensure that they are cooked through and have a crispy exterior.
  • Add the Lebanese spices at the end of the cooking process. This will help to preserve their flavor.
  • Serve the potatoes with your favorite dipping sauce. Tahini sauce or yogurt sauce are both great options.
