Tips:

  • Use fresh eggs: Fresh eggs are essential for making a delicious egg salad. Look for eggs that have been laid within the last week for the best flavor and texture.
  • Hard-boil the eggs perfectly: To hard-boil eggs perfectly, place them in a single layer in a saucepan and cover them with cold water. Bring the water to a boil, then cover the pan and remove it from the heat. Let the eggs stand in the hot water for 10-12 minutes, then drain and immediately transfer them to an ice bath to stop the cooking process.
  • Mash the eggs gently: When mashing the eggs, use a fork or potato masher to gently break them up. Avoid over-mashing the eggs, as this will make the salad too mushy.
  • Add your favorite mix-ins: There are endless possibilities when it comes to mix-ins for egg salad. Some popular options include celery, onion, pickles, relish, mustard, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper. Feel free to experiment with different ingredients to find your perfect combination.
  • Chill the egg salad before serving: After you've made the egg salad, chill it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. This will help the flavors to meld and the salad to firm up.

Conclusion:

Loaded egg salad is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed in many different ways. It's perfect for a quick and easy lunch or dinner, or as a side dish at a potluck or picnic.
