1 box (4.7 oz) Betty Crocker™ au gratin potatoes
2 cups boiling water
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter
6 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (4 oz)
1/4 cup chopped green onions (4 medium)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives, if desired
1/2 cup sour cream, if desired

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400°F. Spray dark 15x10x1-inch pan with cooking spray. Unroll pizza crust; press into pan. Poke holes all over crust with fork. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until just turning light brown.

1 (14.5-ounce) can chicken broth
6 large cloves garlic
4 tablespoons butter or margarine
3/4 cup of heavy whipping cream
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
Basic Pizza Dough, recipe follows
2 cups garlic mashed potatoes
3 ounces sauteed onions
3 small tomatoes, sliced thin
4 ounces shredded provolone
4 ounces shredded fontina
4 ounces bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 teaspoon cracked pepper
1 teaspoon onion salt
3 cups bread flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 package active dry yeast
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup warm water

Steps:

  • Garlic Mashed Potatoes: Combine potatoes, broth, and garlic in a large saucepan. Add additional water if necessary in order to keep all potatoes completely submerged. Bring to boil than reduce heat to low. Continue to cook until potatoes are tender, 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Drain and mash the potatoes and garlic. Add butter, salt, pepper, and whipping cream. Whip until it has a creamy texture.
  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F with a pizza stone.
