VERY LOW-CARB HAMBURGER BUN!
I found this recipe on a low-carb forum when Googling different low-carb websites--it sounds crazy, but the end result is amazing! To quote the original post: "This makes a wonderful hamburger bun, it tastes like a whole wheat bun. It's very sturdy and holds up well with all the juiciness of a hamburger with all the fixings." Note: you may need to add more ground flaxseed/flaxseed meal--the consistently of the "stuff" pre-microwaved should be thick and sort of pasty, like brownie batter, not liquidy.

Tips for Making Low-Carb Buns:
- Use a variety of low-carb flours: Almond flour, coconut flour, and flaxseed meal are all popular choices for low-carb buns. Experiment with different combinations to find a blend that you like.
- Add plenty of fiber: Fiber helps to keep you feeling full and satisfied after eating. Add fiber-rich ingredients to your buns, such as chia seeds, flaxseeds, or psyllium husk.
- Use a sugar-free sweetener: If you want your buns to be sweet, use a sugar-free sweetener such as stevia or erythritol. Avoid using sugar or honey, as these will raise the carb content of your buns.
- Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing the dough will make your buns tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
- Let the dough rest before baking: Letting the dough rest before baking will help it to rise and develop a better flavor.
Conclusion:
Low-carb buns are a great way to enjoy your favorite sandwiches and burgers without all the carbs. With a little planning and effort, you can make delicious and satisfying low-carb buns at home. So next time you're craving a bun, give one of these recipes a try.
