1/3 cup vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Mix dry ingredients in food processor or electric mixer.
  • Slowly pour in the oil as the machine is running.
  • Scrape the sides of the bowl with a rubber spatula.

Tips:

  • Use whole wheat flour for a healthier option. Whole wheat flour is a good source of fiber, which can help keep you feeling full and satisfied after eating. It also contains more nutrients than white flour.
  • Add some baking powder to the mixture if you want a lighter biscuit. Baking powder is a leavening agent that helps biscuits rise. If you don't have any baking powder, you can use 1 teaspoon of baking soda and 1/2 teaspoon of cream of tartar.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing the dough will make the biscuits tough. Mix the dough just until it comes together.
  • Chill the dough before baking. Chilling the dough will help the biscuits rise more evenly. You can chill the dough for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
  • Bake the biscuits in a hot oven. A hot oven will help the biscuits rise quickly and evenly. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit before baking the biscuits.

Conclusion:

There are many different ways to make low-fat Bisquick substitutes. You can use whole wheat flour, almond flour, oat flour, or a combination of flours. You can also add baking powder, baking soda, and cream of tartar to the mixture to help the biscuits rise. No matter which recipe you choose, you're sure to enjoy these delicious and healthy biscuits.
