Nutrition Facts :

Tips:

  • Oats: Use old-fashioned rolled oats for the best texture. Quick oats will make the cookies too soft, while steel-cut oats will be too chewy.
  • Flour: All-purpose flour is the most common type of flour used in oatmeal cookies, but you can also use whole wheat flour or a gluten-free flour blend.
  • Butter: Use unsalted butter for the best flavor. If you only have salted butter, be sure to omit the additional salt in the recipe.
  • Sugar: This recipe calls for a combination of brown sugar and granulated sugar. Brown sugar adds moisture and chewiness, while granulated sugar helps to keep the cookies crispy.
  • Baking soda: Baking soda is a leavening agent that helps the cookies to rise. Be sure to use fresh baking soda for the best results.
  • Spices: This recipe uses a combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger for flavor. You can adjust the amount of each spice to your liking.
  • Mix-Ins: Feel free to add your favorite mix-ins to these cookies, such as raisins, cranberries, nuts, or chocolate chips.
  • Chilling: Chilling the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking helps the cookies to hold their shape and prevents them from spreading too much.
  • Baking: Be sure to bake the cookies until they are just set in the center. Overbaking will make them dry and crumbly.

Conclusion:

These low-sugar oatmeal cookies are a delicious and healthy snack or dessert. They are easy to make and can be customized to your liking. With their chewy texture, sweet flavor, and hearty oats, these cookies are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them. So next time you are looking for a low-sugar cookie recipe, give these oatmeal cookies a try!
