Tips:

  • Choose Fresh Fish: Use the freshest fish available for the best results. Fresh fish will have a mild, briny smell and firm, moist flesh.
  • Use Panko Breadcrumbs: Panko breadcrumbs are a great choice for breading fish because they are light and airy, and they absorb less oil.
  • Season the Fish: Before breading the fish, season it with salt, pepper, and any other desired spices. This will help to enhance the flavor of the fish.
  • Dredge the Fish in Flour: Before dipping the fish in the egg wash, dredge it in flour. This will help the egg wash to adhere to the fish.
  • Use a Shallow Bowl for Dredging: When dredging the fish, use a shallow bowl so that the fish is evenly coated.
  • Heat the Oil: Heat the oil over medium-high heat before frying the fish. This will help to prevent the fish from sticking to the pan.
  • Cook the Fish Until Golden Brown: Fry the fish for 3-4 minutes per side, or until it is golden brown and cooked through.
  • Drain the Fish on Paper Towels: After frying the fish, drain it on paper towels to remove any excess oil.

Conclusion:

Macadamia nut breaded fish is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. The macadamia nuts add a nutty flavor and a crispy texture to the fish, and the lemon-herb sauce is a perfect complement. Serve the fish with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a salad.
