MARTHA'S PERFECT FRENCH TOAST

Martha's Perfect French Toast image

From Martha Stewart. That woman sure knows how to make a delicious french toast! I have changed her recipe to omit some unneeded calories and fat. It is the best french toast our family has ever had, and our guests all agreed! I make this on a Sunday morning if we still have extra challah left over.

  • Don't overcrowd the pan when cooking the French toast. This will prevent the bread from cooking evenly and becoming soggy.
  • Cook the French toast over medium heat. This will help to prevent the bread from burning and allow it to cook through evenly.
  • Flip the French toast once during cooking, or when the bottom side is golden brown. This will ensure that both sides of the bread are cooked evenly.
