1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon clove
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 cup water
1 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Mix in order listed.
  • Pour into greased and floured 9x13 cake pan.
  • Bake 25- 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

1 1/2 c sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 c water
2 1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 1/8 tsp cloves
1 1/8 tsp nutmeg
3/4 tsp ginger
1/2 c molasses
2 tsp vanilla
1 c mayonnaise
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt

Steps:

  • 1. Sift all the dry ingredients together, then add water, mollasses and mayonaise, mix well. pour into a well greased and floured 9x13 inch pan and Bake for 40-50 minutes. If frosting allow to cool completely first.
