Tips:

  • Use a combination of ground beef and pork: This will give your meatloaf a richer flavor and help keep it moist.
  • Don't overmix the meatloaf mixture: Overmixing can make the meatloaf tough. Just mix until the ingredients are well combined.
  • Add some moisture to the meatloaf mixture: This could be in the form of eggs, milk, tomato sauce, or even grated vegetables. This will help keep the meatloaf moist and prevent it from drying out.
  • Season the meatloaf mixture well: Use a variety of spices and herbs to give your meatloaf flavor. Some good options include garlic, onion, paprika, cumin, and chili powder.
  • Cook the meatloaf in a loaf pan: This will help it keep its shape and cook evenly.
  • Baste the meatloaf with its juices while it cooks: This will help keep it moist and prevent it from drying out.
  • Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing: This will help the juices redistribute and make the meatloaf easier to slice.
