Time 5m

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 can(s) black beans
1 can(s) corn
1/2 jar(s) hot salsa

Steps:

  • 1. Drain the black beans and corn.
  • 2. Mix in with hot salsa.
  • 3. Salt and pepper to taste. *You can add hot sauce to kick up the heat as well. Ready to serve!

Tips:

  • Use high quality black beans: Look for beans that are plump and free from wrinkles. Avoid beans that are cracked or have a dusty appearance.
  • Soak the black beans overnight: This will help to soften the beans and reduce the cooking time. If you don't have time to soak the beans overnight, you can quick-soak them by boiling them for 1 minute, then removing them from the heat and letting them sit for 1 hour.
  • Rinse the black beans thoroughly: This will help to remove any impurities and debris.
  • Use a food processor or blender to blend the black beans: This will create a smooth and creamy dip. If you don't have a food processor or blender, you can mash the beans with a fork or potato masher.
  • Season the dip to taste: Add salt, pepper, cumin, and chili powder to taste. You can also add other spices, such as garlic powder, onion powder, or smoked paprika.
  • Serve the dip with your favorite toppings: Some popular toppings include sour cream, shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, and chopped cilantro.

Conclusion:

This Mexican Black Bean Dip is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or snack. It's perfect for parties, potlucks, or game day gatherings. The dip is also a good source of protein and fiber. So next time you're looking for a healthy and flavorful dip, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
