MIMOSA JELLO SHOTS

A fun jello shot for something fun and flirty! I made this up for a bridal shower I am throwing. For non alcoholic, use cold club soda. You could also sub water for the orange juice if you don't want the pulp. Strawberries are nice, but any fruit will make this special I am sure! Share your suggestions!

Time 1h10m

Yield 10 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 4

1/4 cup boiling orange juice
1 (3 ounce) package orange gelatin
1/3 cup cold champagne
2 fresh strawberries, sliced crosswise into 5 flat round slices each berry

Steps:

  • Add boiling orange juice to gelatin in a small bowl and dissolve the gelatin by stirring for about 2 minutes.
  • Add in the champagne.
  • Place one strawberry slice in each of 10 2 oz flexible plastic cups.
  • Cover each strawberry with gelatin mixture.
  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  • Serve!

Tips:

  • Choose a high-quality sparkling wine or champagne. The quality of the sparkling wine or champagne will significantly impact the flavor of your jello shots. Opt for a brut or extra brut variety for a drier, less sweet flavor, or a demi-sec or doux for a sweeter option.
  • Use fresh fruit juice. Fresh fruit juice will give your jello shots a brighter, more vibrant flavor than store-bought juice. You can use any type of fruit juice you like, but citrus fruits, such as orange or grapefruit, are popular choices.
  • Add a splash of liqueur. A splash of liqueur can add a bit of extra flavor and complexity to your jello shots. Some popular choices include orange liqueur, Grand Marnier, or Chambord.
  • Don't over-mix the jello. Over-mixing the jello can cause it to become tough and rubbery. Stir just until the jello powder is dissolved.
  • Chill the jello shots before serving. Allow the jello shots to chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight, before serving. This will help them to set properly.

Conclusion:

Mimosa jello shots are a fun and festive way to enjoy your favorite brunch cocktail. They're easy to make and can be customized to your liking. Garnish with a twist of orange or a sprig of mint for an extra special touch. These jello shots are the perfect addition to any party or gathering. So next time you're looking for a delicious and refreshing treat, give mimosa jello shots a try.
