Provided by By Betty Crocker Kitchens

Categories     Entree

Time 2h50m

Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 15

1 package regular active dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water (105°F to 115°F)
1 1/4 to 1 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon sugar
12 uncooked medium fresh shrimp, in shells
1 cup pizza sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 oz)
1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese (2 oz)
8 anchovy fillets in oil
1/2 lb bay scallops
1/2 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
1/2 teaspoon pepper
4 cloves garlic, finely chopped

Steps:

  • In large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in half of the flour, the oil, salt and sugar. Stir in enough remaining flour to make dough easy enough to handle.
  • Turn dough onto lightly floured surface; knead about 10 minutes or until smooth and elastic. Place dough in large bowl greased with shortening, turning dough to grease all sides. Cover and let rise in warm place 20 minutes.
  • Gently push fist into dough to deflate. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours but no longer than 48 hours, deflating dough occasionally.
  • Move oven rack to lowest position. Heat oven to 500°F. On lightly floured surface, press or roll dough into 12-inch round. Place on ungreased pizza screen or in 12-inch perforated pizza pan. Press dough from center to edge so edge is thicker than center.
  • Peel shrimp, leaving tails intact. Spread pizza sauce over dough to within 1/2 inch of edge. Sprinkle cheeses over sauce. Arrange shrimp, anchovies and scallops on cheeses. Sprinkle basil, pepper and garlic over seafood. Bake about 10 minutes or until shrimp are pink and firm, scallops are white and cheeses are melted.

SEAFOOD PIZZA

Seafood Pizza image

I adapted this rich treat from a friend's seafood enchilada dish. The thick creamy cheese sauce is an ideal match for the scallops, shrimp and imitation crabmeat. Plus, it's special enough for guests and can be made in a hurry.

Time 1h

Yield 12

Number Of Ingredients 15

3 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups warm water

CASINO NIGHT MINI FRUIT PIZZAS

Casino Night Mini Fruit Pizzas image

You can make mini fruit pizzas to resemble cards or dice by using square and rectangular cookies, strawberries cut vertically to look like hearts and blueberries for the dots on the die.

Provided by JORMAN

Categories     Desserts     Specialty Dessert Recipes     Fruit Pizza Recipes

Time 1h38m

Yield 36

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ cup buttermilk
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, at room temperature
1 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 cup confectioners' sugar
1 pint strawberries, sliced from top to bottom
1 pint blueberries

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time until each is blended in. Stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture, alternating with the buttermilk, mixing just until blended. If the dough is really sticky, you may need more flour. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into squares and rectangles using a pizza cutter or knife. Place cookies about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 6 to 8 minutes in the preheated oven, until the edges begin to brown lightly.
  • While the cookies are baking, make the frosting. In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese and confectioners' sugar until soft and creamy. Stir in the whipped topping until well blended.
  • Spread a thin layer of the frosting onto each cookie. Make heart cards by placing strawberry slices onto the rectangular cookies, and dice by placing blueberries onto the square cookies. Refrigerate until serving, or serve immediately after frosting. They are best when served cold.

Tips:

  • Use a variety of seafood: Different types of seafood, such as shrimp, crab, calamari, and mussels, can be used to create a variety of flavorful pizzas.
  • Cook the seafood properly: Seafood should be cooked until it is opaque and firm, but not overcooked, or it will become tough and rubbery.
  • Use a light hand with the sauce: Seafood pizzas can easily become soggy if they are overloaded with sauce. Use a light hand when applying the sauce, and make sure to spread it evenly over the dough.
  • Top the pizza with fresh herbs: Fresh herbs, such as basil, oregano, and thyme, can add a pop of flavor and color to seafood pizzas.
  • Serve the pizza immediately: Seafood pizzas are best served hot out of the oven. If you are making them ahead of time, reheat them in a preheated oven before serving.

Conclusion:

Seafood pizzas are a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. With a variety of toppings and sauces to choose from, there is a seafood pizza for everyone. Whether you are looking for a quick and easy meal or a special occasion dish, seafood pizzas are a great option.
