Tips:

  • Choose Fresh Ingredients: For the best-tasting scones, use fresh, high-quality ingredients. Fresh pecans, pure vanilla extract, and real butter will make a big difference in the overall flavor.
  • Measure Ingredients Accurately: Be precise when measuring your ingredients. Too much or too little of an ingredient can affect the texture and flavor of the scones.
  • Don't Overwork the Dough: When mixing the dough, be careful not to overwork it. Overworking the dough will make the scones tough.
  • Chill the Dough: Before baking, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes. This will help the scones hold their shape in the oven.
  • Bake the Scones at the Right Temperature: Bake the scones at a high temperature for a short period of time. This will help them rise quickly and develop a golden brown crust.
