Tips:
- Use stale bread: Stale bread absorbs the custard better and results in a more firm bread pudding.
- Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter can make the bread pudding tough.
- Use a variety of bread: Using different types of bread can add flavor and texture to the bread pudding.
- Add mix-ins: Feel free to add mix-ins such as raisins, nuts, chocolate chips, or fruit to the bread pudding for extra flavor and texture.
- Use a water bath: Baking the bread pudding in a water bath helps to prevent the top from becoming too brown and also helps to keep the bread pudding moist.
- Serve warm: Bread pudding is best served warm with a scoop of ice cream, whipped cream, or custard sauce.
