Yield Makes about 4 cups

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/2 cup beer
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 16-ounce can refried beans
1/2 cup purchased chunky hot salsa
1 16-ounce package Velveeta cheese, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Tortilla chips

Steps:

  • Combine beer, cumin, dried oregano and garlic powder in heavy medium sauce-pan. Bring to simmer. Add beans and salsa; stir until heated through. Add Velveeta cheese; stir until cheese melts, about 3 minutes. Stir in cilantro. Transfer to bowl. Serve warm with tortilla chips.

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: Fresh salsa and guacamole are essential for the best nacho salsa dip. Look for ripe tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and avocados.
  • Make your own chips: Homemade tortilla chips are a great way to add a personal touch to your nacho salsa dip. They're also healthier than store-bought chips.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When cooking the ground beef, don't overcrowd the pan. This will prevent the beef from cooking evenly.
  • Use a good quality cheese: The cheese is one of the most important ingredients in nacho salsa dip. Use a good quality cheese that melts well, such as cheddar or Monterey Jack.
  • Layer the dip: When assembling the dip, layer the ingredients so that each flavor can shine through.
  • Serve the dip immediately: Nacho salsa dip is best served immediately after it's made. The chips will get soggy if they sit in the dip for too long.

Conclusion:

Nacho salsa dip is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that's perfect for parties or game day. With a few simple ingredients, you can create a dip that will be a hit with everyone. So next time you're looking for a tasty snack, give nacho salsa dip a try!
