1/4 teaspoon salt

  • or.
  • Spread (or hang on noodle dryer) out to dry; store in air tight container.
  • Check for doneness by testing a noodle to see if the center is cooked completely through. There should be no dryness in the center of the noodles.

Tips:

  • Use the right flour: All-purpose flour is a good choice for beginners, but you can also experiment with other types of flour, such as bread flour, whole wheat flour, or semolina flour.
  • Make sure the dough is the right consistency: The dough should be smooth and elastic, but not too sticky. If the dough is too sticky, add more flour. If the dough is too dry, add more water.
  • Knead the dough properly: Kneading the dough helps to develop the gluten, which gives noodles their chewy texture. Knead the dough for at least 10 minutes, or until it is smooth and elastic.
  • Let the dough rest: After kneading the dough, let it rest for at least 30 minutes. This will help the dough to relax and make it easier to roll out.
  • Roll out the dough thinly: The thinner you roll out the dough, the more delicate the noodles will be. If you are using a pasta machine, roll the dough out to the thinnest setting.
  • Cut the dough into noodles: You can use a knife, a pasta cutter, or a pasta machine to cut the dough into noodles. If you are using a knife, be sure to cut the dough into even strips.
  • Cook the noodles: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the noodles. Cook the noodles for 2-3 minutes, or until they are al dente. Drain the noodles and serve them with your favorite sauce.
