Steps:

  • Crush 4 paçoca pieces in a bowl, then mix in the sweetened condensed milk to form a paste.
  • In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then fold in the paçoca mixture until evenly combined.
  • Transfer the cream mixture into a square baking dish, then crumble the remaining 4 paçoca over the top.
  • Spoon the Nutella over the mixture in large dollops, then taking a knife, swirl the Nutella and paçoca into the cream with a figure-8 motion.
  • Freeze for at least 4 hours.

1 puff pastry, thawed
flour, to dust
¼ cup cream cheese
⅔ cup chocolate hazelnut spread
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
powdered sugar, to taste
1 cup chocolate sauce, or melted nutella, to taste

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese and Nutella. Set aside.
  • Roll out puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Divide into 9 equal squares.
  • Scoop 1 Tbsp. of Nutella filling onto the corner of each puff pastry square. Leave enough space for the edges to be crimped shut. Fold the square to form a triangle, crimp the edges shut.
  • Set the turnovers on a lightly greased cookie pan.
  • Prepare the egg wash by beating together one egg and 1 Tbsp. water. Brush the top of each turnover with the egg wash.
  • Bake for 350˚F (175˚C ) for 25 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool.
  • Garnish by dusting powdered sugar and drizzling with melted Nutella or chocolate syrup.

7 oz sweetened condensed milk, 1/2 can
10 fl oz milk
2 tablespoons cornstarch
4 fl oz heavy cream
3 pacocas, peanut candy
7 oz sweetened condensed milk, 1/2 can
10 fl oz milk
2 tablespoons cornstarch
4 fl oz heavy cream
3 ½ oz semisweet chocolate
8 fl oz heavy cream
5 oz semisweet chocolate
1 cup milk
12 oz graham cracker
peanut butter, crumbed

Steps:

  • In a small pan, pour the sweetened condensed milk, milk, cornstarch, heavy cream, and the paçocas. Dissolve the cornstarch in the milk before putting in the pan. Cook over medium heat and mix well until it becomes creamy. Set aside.
  • Repeat the process with the chocolate pudding. Set aside.
  • In a square tray, put a layer of graham crackers soaked in milk, then a layer of the paçoca pudding, then cover with the graham crackers soaked in milk. Add a layer of the semisweet chocolate pudding. Repeat until the tray is full.
  • Melt the semisweet chocolate with the heavy cream on the microwave for 1 minute or until it melts completely.
  • Spread the ganache over the trifle and refrigerate for 4 hours.
  • Spread crumbled paçocas over the trifle.

My coworkers have a serious obsession with Nutella and suggested I should make a batch of ice cream flavored with it. I took that challenge and created this recipe by modifying the basic ice cream recipe that came with my ice cream freezer. Easy and delicious. I had a hard time sharing it with my coworkers as I wanted to keep it all for myself.

2 cups half-and-half (chilled)
1 cup whipping cream (chilled)
1/4 cup sugar
8 ounces nutella

Steps:

  • Combine ingredients in a mixing bowl using a wire whisk. Nutella should be distributed through the mix but you will still have some flecks and small chunks of that do not dissolve.
  • Pour mixture into ice cream freezer and freeze according to manufacturer's directions. For a firmer ice cream, place into freezer after removing from machine and freeze an additional 2-4 hours or until it reaches desired consistency.
