NUTTY CARAMEL APPLE ROLLUPS

Nutty Caramel Apple Rollups image

This is a recipe out of a cooking for kids cookbook I picked up for about 5 bucks. It's pretty tasty but also pretty sweet with the caramel sauce. You could probably reduce the amount but what's the fun in that? I used caramel apple dip but caramel ice cream topping would work as well.

Tips:

  • To make the caramel, use a heavy-bottomed saucepan to prevent burning. Stir the mixture constantly until it reaches a golden brown color.
  • If you don't have a candy thermometer, you can test the caramel by dropping a small amount into a cup of cold water. If it forms a hard ball, it is ready.
  • Be careful when dipping the apples into the caramel. The caramel is hot and can cause burns.
  • To make the pops easier to hold, insert a popsicle stick into the bottom of each apple before dipping it into the caramel.
  • If you want to add nuts or other toppings to the pops, do so immediately after dipping them in the caramel. The caramel will harden quickly, so you need to work quickly.

Conclusion:

Nutty Caramel Apple Pops are a delicious and festive treat that is perfect for any occasion. They are easy to make and can be customized to your liking. With a few simple ingredients, you can create a sweet and satisfying snack that everyone will love. So next time you are looking for a fun and easy treat, give Nutty Caramel Apple Pops a try.
