Yield serves 4-6

Number Of Ingredients 9

For the Chicken
2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons salt
3 pounds chicken wings, cut into drumettes and flats
For the Sauce
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup Frank's Red Hot sauce
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • For the chicken: Mix together Old Bay, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl. Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels. Place wings in a large bowl and sprinkle with Old Bay mixture, tossing to coat evenly. Arrange wings in a single layer on wire rack placed over a baking sheet. Refrigerate uncovered for at least 8 hours.
  • To make the sauce: Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in hot sauce and Worcestershire. Remove from heat and seat aside.

Time 1h15m

Yield 2-4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 lbs chicken wings, cut into drumettes and flats
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
2 tablespoons Frank's red hot sauce
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix together Old Bay, baking powder, and salt.
  • Pat dry chicken wings with paper towels. Place wings in a large bowl and sprinkle in Old Bay mixture, tossing to evenly coat. Arrange wings in a single layer on wire rack set inside a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, leaving a little space between each wing. Place baking sheet with wings in refrigerator for 8 hours to overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Move baking sheet with the wings to oven and cook until browned and crisp, about 30 to 45 minutes.
  • Combine butter, hot sauce, and Worcestershire in large bowl. Place wings in the bowl with the sauce mixture and toss to thoroughly coat. Move wings to a platter and serve immediately.

Tips:

  • Use a flavorful marinade: The marinade in this recipe is packed with Old Bay seasoning, garlic, lemon, and butter, which will infuse the chicken wings with delicious flavor. Be sure to let the wings marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight, to allow the flavors to fully penetrate the meat.
  • Cook the wings over indirect heat: This will help to prevent the wings from burning and will allow them to cook evenly throughout. If you are using a charcoal grill, place the wings on the side of the grill opposite the coals. If you are using a gas grill, turn off one of the burners and place the wings on that side of the grill.
  • Flip the wings regularly: This will help to ensure that they cook evenly on all sides. Flip the wings every 5-7 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Serve the wings with your favorite dipping sauce: Old Bay grilled chicken wings are delicious on their own, but they can also be served with a variety of dipping sauces, such as ranch dressing, blue cheese dressing, or honey mustard. Experiment with different sauces to find your favorite combination.

Conclusion:

Old Bay grilled chicken wings are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or main course. The combination of Old Bay seasoning, garlic, lemon, and butter creates a flavorful marinade that will tantalize your taste buds. And because the wings are cooked over indirect heat, they are cooked evenly throughout and are never dry.
