Tips:

  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries. This will give your pie the best flavor. If you can't find fresh strawberries, you can use frozen strawberries that have been thawed and drained.
  • Make sure your pie crust is well-chilled before baking. This will help to prevent the crust from shrinking and becoming tough.
  • Don't overfill your pie crust. This will make it difficult to seal the crust and can also make the pie soggy.
  • Bake the pie until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling. This will ensure that the pie is cooked through.
  • Let the pie cool for at least 30 minutes before serving. This will help to set the filling and make it easier to slice.

Conclusion:

Old-fashioned strawberry pie is a classic dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With its sweet and tangy filling and flaky crust, this pie is sure to be a hit. Whether you're making it for a special occasion or just because you're craving something sweet, this pie is sure to please.
